Lyon Game Developers Conference may branch off in 2008

The Lyon Game Developers Conference debuted at this year's Game Connection in Europe but it seems the two will separate by next year. Owing to the success of the Lyon GDC, which featured keynotes from both Ubisoft and Crytek, the organizers hope to branch off.As a standalone event, the Lyon GDC plans to differentiate itself from the main GDC by focusing on next-gen and multiplatform development. However, it may not be called Lyon GDC by next year since it may move to a different location. Game Connection, however, will stay in Lyon.
