Videogame movie tie-in deals have been around since the beginning of home gaming. The oldest one that I can think of right now (I'm not old enough to have played it though) is the infamous E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial game for the Atari 2600. story details »

The Ghostbusters game has been in a bit of turmoil lately. The game was dropped by publisher Activision due to money issues several months back. When news about he departure came about, many fans started rumors that Atari would be taking over and the game was still to be released under a new studio.
