In an article earlier posted by IGN previewing Epic Games' upcoming Gears of War 2, an interesting remark was dropped by team member Cliff Bleszinski about Kojima Productions' hit Metal Gear Solid series. The developer said that the MGS model isn't one that they'll be following in terms of storytelling,in GoW 2.

Midway and Epic Games, today announced Unreal Tournament 3 is scheduled to be available on July 7, 2008, with new features including split screen, five exclusive maps and two all-new characters, as well as all previously released downloadable content. Microsoft Corporation, Square Enix, and Namco Bandai Games announced details about their epic RPG titles coming to Xbox 360 at the Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008 event which took place in Shibuya, Tokyo on June 10, 2008. It's been awhile since we heard from Sucker Punch about their upcoming PS3 game, inFAMOUS. Well, looks like the shroud of secrecy will be lifted in the July issue of Game Informer. The cover confirms that this will be a "sandbox game" (a la Grand Theft Auto IV). However, you will have "extraordinary powers" that come from a "cataclysmic explosion." TriForce Sales announced today that it has acquired the license from Epic Games, Inc. to produce 1:1 scale replicas of the weapons and armor from the Gears of War universe. TriForce has partnered with sculptor Sid Garrand of Nightmare Armor Studios to recreate the gear worn by Delta Squad in the game. story details »

SEGA of America today announced that it has extended its relationship with Epic Games by signing a new Unreal Engine 3 licensing deal for an unannounced, cross-platform game.
