If 1UP's mysterious Quartermann is to be believed, the PS3 version of Soulcalibur IV may be a rather dark, broody, angst-ridden fighter. Not only will the PS3 version exclusively feature Star Wars' Darth Vader, it may also feature God of War's always-angry Kratos. Microsoft Corporation, Square Enix, and Namco Bandai Games announced details about their epic RPG titles coming to Xbox 360 at the Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008 event which took place in Shibuya, Tokyo on June 10, 2008. In preparation of Namco Bandai's upcoming fighting game, Hori is set to release an arcade pad in the US. There are a few things of note of this peripheral, as noted by Siliconera. Firstly, the PS3 pad is only $50 (as opposed to the Xbox 360's $60 controller). Secondly, Hori hasn't announced plans to bring this to Japan. Could the tables have finally turned? A couple months ago Namco Bandai shocked everyone in the gaming universe with the announcement that both Darth Vader (PS3) and Yoda (360) would be appearing in their next-gen version of Soulcalibur 4. Yesterday they added that "the secret apprentice" character from The Force Unleashed will also be playable. story details »

Speaking with Videogaming247, the US branch of Namco Bandai said that the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata will most likely not be released outside Japan. "I can't speak for any other territories, but I believe Eternal Sonata is only announced for the PS3 in Japan right now," said the Namco rep. "We have no plans to release the game on the PS3 in the US at this moment." story details »
